How to be safe on a date
User safety is our top priority. Here are some important tips for any online conversations you have, on or outside Loyal.
Be truthful, don’t lie or embellish stories to get someone’s attention.
Be friendly but don’t overshare until you also get to learn more about the other person.
Report any situation where you feel unsafe, scared, threatened or abused.
Don’t ever send money to people you meet online, no matter how sad or tragic the story they share with you.
Never send copies of your personal documents or share any sensitive data online.
We recommend you never share your address in online conversations.
We strongly recommend you keep all communication on Loyal so we can help in case you need support from us.

If you meet someone on Loyal and are ready to take it to the next level, here are some important tips for safety during dates in real life.
Always meet in a public place, never invite someone you’ve met online to your place as a first date.
Tell a friend or family member that you are having a first date with someone you’ve met online. Give them the name of the person, time and location of your date just in case.
Never give people money or valuables, no matter what they tell you.
Do not believe stories from people who ask for money.
Don’t drink anything that wasn’t opened or made in front of your eyes. We strongly suggest you do not consume alcohol on a first date.
Keep conversations on Loyal. If you move to a different platform we won’t be able to support you in case you want to report something about those conversations.
It is very important to us that you feel safe and comfortable on Loyal. If for any reason, you feel uncomfortable during an offline date, please call a friend or family member. You should also alert someone in the place where you’re having the date so they can support you then and there.
If you feel unsafe or suffer abuse, please seek help immediately and call your local authorities for immediate assistance. We will collaborate with authorities should there be an investigation.
Please also report such things to us once you’re safe so we can support any ongoing investigation or carry out our own.
How do I report someone?
How do I report a fake profile?
If you want to report someone you’re chatting to you can press the three dots icon in the top right corner of the conversation and select “Block and report”. We will carry out an investigation and no matter the outcome, we never reveal you reported a user.
If you want to report someone you’ve come across by swiping on your home screen, click on “More” on their profile, scroll to the bottom of the profile and then select “Report”. You will be prompted with different options for your report. Please select the one that best applies.

How do I block someone?
Reporting in-person physical harm
If you want to block someone you’re chatting to you can press the three dots icon in the top right corner of the conversation and select “Block”.
If you want to block someone you’ve come across by swiping on your home screen, click on “More” on their profile, scroll to the bottom of the profile and then select “Block”.
If you’re ever in any sort of danger during a date, please ask someone around for immediate help. If you suffer any sort of aggression you must always report it to the police and relevant authorities in your country.
If the person you're reporting is someone you’ve met on Loyal please also email us at support@loyal.day with information about the incident so we can also take the necessary measures and/or support the authorities in their investigation.
